What is counseling and what can you expect?

 


In your initial therapy session we will meet and you will have to complete some of the required paperwork. We will go through an assessment and discuss your background history, what you hope to gain out of working together, and we will get to know one another.

In the following sessions we will decide what goals you would like to work on, and come up with an action plan to get you started on making the changes you want to make. We will do so through discussion, problem solving, learning, and practicing new skills. I am here to listen, guide, teach, challenge, and help you create your best life. I might assign you some "homework" to work on outside of our sessions to help give you tools and work toward achieving your goals. All choices of therapy direction are up to you!


All services are completely confidential.

Therapy sessions are generally 50 minutes in length and can occur every week for as long as needed depending on goals and progress. Typical therapy time is a few months. We can meet in my office, go for a walk, or even sit in a park. Where will your journey lead you?

Appointment Hours Vary By Day:

Mondays are very limited - please ask if you are looking to come in on a Monday

Tuesdays first appointment beginning at 10:00, with last appointment at 2:00

Wednesdays first appointment beginning at 1:00 and will be online only until 4:00

Thursdays first appointment beginning at 9:00 with last appointment beginning at 4

Fridays first appointment starting at 10:00 with last appointment beginning at 4:00

*School students can often be excused to attend therapy appointments
